Full Day at the Lake

Today started around 4 o'clock as I put my kayak in the water and set out on my first paddle. I bought myself a Peception Swifty 9.5 bright yellow kayak and it's a lot of fun. I was out on the water about 3.5 hours and I got to go along the course I usually run. It was neat to see my usual 4 mile running course from a new perspective. I did actually get a run in after the boating fun. »

My first run in quite a while was nice but hot. I did the Mopac/1st loop at a faster than usual pace but was quite tired by the end. My hips seemed a little tight but my shins were fine.
I recently purchased an iPod and am very happy with it. It's great to create a quick playlist before heading out on a run and having all your favorite songs play on the trail. I considered buying other mp3 players but am glad I went with Apple's solution.
